The Whitney Point Central School District is located at 10 Keibel Road Whitney Point, NY. This school district sits in the northern part of Broome County with surrounding county’s including Tioga, Chenango, and Cortland. This district itself would be considered to be mid-size as it only has 4 schools within its boundaries. Strong active support is provided by the PTA and PTSA, who enjoy getting together and sharing their ideas that will help enhance the educational opportunities for students. Football, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, are some of the more active sports in this district that is home of the “Golden Eagles”.
The Whitney Point Central School District also has Computer Courses available for the Community. The Computer Lab is located at the district high school and it teaches students on several topics from basic CP skills, how to use popular programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, and even PowerPoint. The classes are small and personal, but they are great for anyone who desires to learn basic computer skills. The Whitney Point Central School District keeps its policies and current events that are going on in the district updated for both parents and students to keep the channel of communication open within the community.
Whitney Point Central School District endeavors to keep up standards that teach students “meaningful and self-directed learning” and knows that a good connection between parents, staff, and the students can be achieved by communication.
