White Plains City Schools
White Plains City School District community is located approximately 25 miles northeast of New York City. The district scholastic record has been like a magnet to young families and for those relocating to the New York metro area. The school system serve youngsters in PreKindergarten through twelfth grade in campuses scatter throughout White Plains. Many specialized programs which improve and enrich our students' lives, accommodate diverse learners, and distinguish our district from others, including enrichment programs and opportunities for learning disabled and special education students and for children with other special needs.
The School District has an impressive linage of achievements which includes: Two National Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence (Middle School and High School). Majority of the high school varsity teams achieve New York Scholar-Athlete status with academic averages of over 90. Championship athletes and teams, notably our League Champion Boys' Indoor Track Team and NY State Boys’ Basketball Champions. The high school has a state-of-the-art media center and science classrooms on a 72- acre campus that includes tennis courts, a pool, and a fitness center.
