West Islip Schools
West Islip Union Free School District is proud of its academic portfolio of the 200 courses it has available for students. Additional accelerated programs are available in foreign language, math, and science. Historically some ninety-five percent of the districts graduating class move on to higher educations after receiving their Regents Diplomas. The West Islip Union Free School District offer several enrichment programs for students. Specialist work with every classroom from grades 3 through 5 and students are presented with high-level activities requiring both creative and critical thinking skills and are expectant to broaden their abilities. The main objective of the program is to provide students and assist teachers with the appropriate services, resources, and opportunities to enhance the general education curriculum. Enrichment specialist acts as a catalyst as the students discover different areas of interest while working at the highest possible academic level. The Community of parents and other local business proudly support the efforts of the West Islip Union Free School District to deliver excellent education for its students.
