Uniondale Union Free School District commitment to the success of the technology program continues to be apparent through budgetary allocations, software purchases, and integration of new initiatives, staff development plans, and personnel assignments. Ongoing evaluation will be accomplished through needs assessment surveys, satisfaction surveys, anecdotal evidence, and observation of teacher utilization.

Interactive whiteboard facilitates active and collaborative learning and is an excellent tool for communicating and problem solving that naturally enhances the access students have to information. An interactive whiteboard addresses presentation needs and allows for the integration of technology into the curriculum.

Digital microscopes to further integrate the use of technology by the science department by offering all students exposure to the wide variety of experiments and investigations made possible through the many applications available. Digital USB microscopes make it easy to magnify and examine objects on the computer screen
