Trumansburg Schools

Trumansburg Central School District is located at 100 Whig Street Trumansburg, NY serving grades K-12 in Tompkins County. The Trumansburg School District is committed to preparing students for life. This belief serves as a guide for their daily outlook and plans. Developing academic quality, self-esteem, health and wellness, problem solvers/decision makers, effective communicators, responsible citizens, and self-directed life long learners are the outcomes which shape the goals they hold for each student. Parent involvement in children's daily activities is crucial in guaranteeing their success, especially at this stage in their development.

Its operating under a mission to maximize the diverse talents and aspirations of the students; develop student ability to live as responsible and contributing members of society; provide challenging curricula, in quality facilities, by well-trained staff interested in the welfare of the students; coordinate efforts among members of the school, family and community to foster high expectations and to provide the best opportunity for a successful educational program.

The Trumansburg Central School District recognizes the importance of providing students and staff access to the technologies necessary to prepare them for the 21st century in order to enhance education and improve academic achievement. Through the work of technology subcommittees, the District Technology Committee has created an updated strategic long range plan to be implemented beginning in the summer of 2005. With the support of the administration, Board of Education, and committed staff, this technology plan will serve as a way to improve the technology infrastructure and effectively integrate technology into the K-12 curriculum. The implementation of the plan will be evaluated on a yearly basis and updated based on evaluations and quarterly progress reports.
