Rondout Valley Schools

Rondout Valley Central School District is located at 122 Kyserike Road Accord, NY serving grades K-12 in Ulster County. The District School Board is a body of nine Board members. The President and Vice-President of the Board are elected by Board Members for one year terms at the annual organizational meeting in July. The President conducts the meetings, acts as spokesperson for the Board, and performs various other legal functions. The Vice-President conducts the meeting in the absence of the President.

Ulster County is located along the majestic Hudson River and amidst the scenic Catskill Mountains of New York State, Ulster County offers a unique blend of urban amenities in a country environment. The District Officials recognize the uniqueness of each student, the school staff pledges to foster a desire for educational excellence that will help students achieve their full potential intellectually, physically, socially, morally and culturally. Acknowledging the rapid social, cultural, economical, political and technological changes in American society, the school encourages innovative courses, programs and activities designed to help our students to deal competently with these changes and to prepare them for effective citizenship.

It’s the intent of the Rondout Valley Central School District to rally around the educational philosophy to encourage the development of critical thinking, self esteem, and responsible people of tomorrow. In addition, they are committed to having high expectations for students to excel in learning.
