Queensbury Union Free School District is located at 429 Aviation Road Queensbury, NY serving grades K-12 in Warren County. The Board is responsible for the scope, depth and quality of education in the school district. And is the official policy-making body of the school district. Queensbury has invested strongly in education and takes pride in its school. The district enrollment of over 3900 students is divided amongst the four schools, the K-3 Elementary School, the 4-5 William H. Barton Intermediate School, the 6-8 Middle School and the 9-12 High School. They are situated on a 200+ acre campus, complete with play areas and an indoor pool which are also used as focal points for the Town Recreation, Little League and YMCA activities.
Queensbury provides quality education to all of its students through a comprehensive foundation in the basics, a complete range of elective course offerings, a wide variety of special programs, individualized instruction and a fine teaching staff. It's a district in which lesson plans are geared to the needs of each student that is committed to appropriate class size maximums, to an enrichment program for the gifted and talented, to those with handicapping conditions and those in need of remediation.
The District Officials recognize the uniqueness of each student, the school staff pledges to foster a desire for educational excellence that will help students achieve their full potential intellectually, physically, socially, morally and culturally. Acknowledging the rapid social, cultural, economical, political and technological changes in American society, the school encourages innovative courses, programs and activities designed to help our students to deal competently with these changes and to prepare them for effective citizenship.
