The Town of Pittsford has been widely recognized for its efforts to preserve open space and agricultural lands. At the south end of town is the 2,700-acre Mendon Ponds Park. Containing ponds, glacial topography, and miles of trails, the park is a popular destination for hiking, horseback riding and cross country skiing.
