Pine Bush Central School District is located at 156 State Route 302 Pine Bush, NY and it serves grades PK-12 in Orange County. Pine Bush is nestled at the base of the Shawangunk Mountains approximately 20 miles west of the Hudson River and 75 miles north of New York City, the Pine Bush Central School District covers seven townships located in portions of Ulster, Sullivan, and Orange counties. The district was established in 1938, and is composed of four elementary schools, two middle schools, and a high school. It has a student enrollment of 6,200 and a budget of $87.1 million.
Pine Bush is a hamlet located in the Town of Crawford, in Orange County, New York.
Within the Pine Bush Central School District reading program are based on the following beliefs: all students will experience success, reading is a life-long skill, and reading is fun. The reading specialist works closely with the classroom teacher to best meet the individual needs of the child. The support can be provided in several ways.
The Pine Bush Central School District Academic Intervention Services are intended to assist students who are at risk of not achieving the State learning standards in English language arts, mathematics, social studies and science, or who are at risk of not gaining the knowledge and skills needed to meet or exceed designated performance levels on State assessments. The additional instruction and/or support are provided in various school settings.
