Pearl River Schools
Pearl River Union Free School District is located at 275 East Central Avenue is located at, NY and serves grades K-12 in Rockland County. It is situated approximately 20 miles north of New York City on the west side of the Hudson River adjacent to the New Jersey state border. The district educates students in grades kindergarten through twelve who reside within district boundaries under the auspices of the New York State Education Department. The Pearl River School District covers most of the hamlet of Pearl River and portions of Orangeburg, West Nyack, Nanuet, and Tappan.
The District is committed to the infusion of educational technology at all grade levels and across all subject areas throughout the district. Students and staff have equitable access to a variety of technological tools to enhance educational experiences at school. This district knows that success builds self-esteem and self-esteem leads to success. Prevention/early intervention reduces the need for remediation. A non-coercive environment fosters individual responsibility. Student performance improves when the school community uses current data and research to meet evolving needs.
