The Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School District has set a mission is to empower all Oppenheim-Ephratah students for the choices and challenges of life in the 21st century. This is accomplished by providing a safe and orderly environment where learning is valued. Instruction will be all inclusive of students from minority cultures, students of sexes, students from homes where English is not spoken, students with handicapping conditions, and gifted and talented students.

Music is noted in the district and that through music, educators hope to teach dedication, responsibility, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving and job skills. It is a goal to meet each child at their ability level and interest level. Music groups are available to every child who wishes to participate. The music courses are developed both to provide a basis for those pursuing a career in music and to challenge musicians at individual levels.
