New York City District # 6 Schools
New York City District # 6 promotes and provides a safe educational environment that is conducive for learning. Other goals and philosophies of the district include teaching students to empower themselves to be able to handle challenges in their lives and make them valuable citizens in a democratic society. New York City District # 6 is continually integrating technological instruction throughout their curriculum to provide the essential skills to meet state and national learning standards. There is an abundance of student services available within the school system starting at pre-school age and up to the 21 year old that want to continue their education. The district continues to improve the relationship between the District and the parents of the students, and increase test scores across the board. New York City District # 6 targets the idea that every student is different, but all students can learn! Each student will become a critical thinker, a lifelong learner, and a responsible, contributing citizen in a changing global society.
