New York City District #24 Schools

New York City District #24 is located at 98-50 50 Ave Corona, NY and meets the New York State requirements for education in Queens County, New York. Queens is one of five boroughs in New York City and it happens to be the second most populated of the boroughs. The District offers traditional and non-traditional programs which encourage active family participation. They work to motivate and strengthen individual confidence and self- determination in both parents and children.

Testing: Students and teachers are expected to adhere to the District Protocol for all testing events. The Protocol is reviewed by students and teachers at the start of each year. General directions about honesty and character during testing are reviewed.
This New York City District offers students interscholastic athletics, and sponsors a variety of extracurricular activities. Some examples of these activities are the school musical, service organizations such as Key Club, and SADD, and organizations such as Spirit Club and Student Government, which enhance school life.

The District staff members show a personal interest in developing students’ independent and creative thought, willingness to accept intellectual risks and challenges, forming superior work habits and cooperative, positive approaches to learning. While these attributes cannot always be precisely measured and adjusted, Teachers honor them and work energetically to foster their development. There is no doubt that the development of these skills brings with them not only a sense of academic achievement but also a feeling of pride and satisfaction.
