New York City District #18 Schools
New York City District #18 is a creative and supportive learning community rooted in the belief that all children can learn. The educators will challenge all students to demonstrate high levels of achievement on a wide variety of clearly defined standards. The students will graduate with the skills, knowledge, attitudes and experiences necessary to ensure their highest potential for success and life-long learning. The district represents a rainbow of races, nationalities, religions and cultures. An active parent community brings together thousands of volunteers into city schools for a variety of classroom-enhancing activities. A well-established link between business and schools attracts mentors from area corporations into schools to sponsor children and strengthen business-education ties. District #18 offers a comprehensive academic, inter-scholastic, and extra-curricular program. The District also has an outstanding music program that regularly wins awards and regional competitions.
