New York City District #17 Schools
New York City District #17 officials believe in sharing the accountability and responsibility with parents to make education goals realism. The district wants to help students along the way in the pursuit for knowledge and to become life-long learners. This school district provides a learning environment geared toward teaching students personal values such as, being self-motivated, life-long learners, socially responsible and serious thinkers are among many of the values and attitudes the district wants to relay. District #17 is filled with many pursuits of education such as schools for Music & Theater, Business & Technology, Science, and plenty of other career choices. While New York City District #17 faces many challenges such as its need to update some of its school buildings and lack of funding, school officials and the community are working together to address these issues.
