New York City District #16 needs major improvements in many areas and it is known to be the poorest district in New York City. School officials are facing many social challenges; there are hundreds of groups trying their best to overcome them. The district has several employment opportunities, including vocational educational opportunities for qualified personal. Methods of education are set forth by the Board of Education and the school system uses these curricula’s to increase student achievements in a significant manner. Students in this district receive technology education at every academic level through programs that help them discover their technical interests and how to solve technological problems.
