Mt Morris Schools

Mt Morris Central School District is located at 30 Bonadonna Avenue Mount Morris, NY and provides excellent education opportunities for grades K through 12 for this community in Livingston County, New York. The district continues to strive toward the development of quality education programs and encourages community involvement and support of its school activities and organizations, as well as in a variety of intramural and interscholastic athletic programs. Mount Morris actively supports and participates in various BOCES educational programs. Students enrolled in this district include grades kindergarten through twelfth grade, all housed in one building as well as six BOCES classrooms.

The school is located on twenty-one acres of land overlooking the beautiful Genesee Valley. The school was first occupied in 1955 with an additions built in 1965. Renovations were completed in 1979 and 1984. Transportation is contracted with local bus contractors. In the 1987-88 school year Mount Morris Central School received accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. This accreditation was earned for the entire K-12 program.

The district has been the recipient of a Reading First Grant for several years, and the technology in the building (video conferencing and distance learning) to offer our teachers the opportunity to challenge our students academically. The fact that the district has been an inclusion building many years bears testimony to the efficacy of the in-service programs.

Mount Morris faculty educates all of our students to maximize their potential and to develop personal tools to become life-long learners and productive members of an ever-changing world.
