Morrisville-Eaton Schools

Morrisville-Eaton Central School District is located at 5061 Fearon Road Morrisville, NY. This New York public school district provides out standing educational opportunities to the local community in Madison County, for grades PK through 12. The district has two school buildings, an elementary school and a middle/high school and maintains their own school bus garage. The Edward R. Andrews Elementary School was erected in 1935 with a large addition added in 1955, which was extended to include four more classrooms in 1996.

The middle/high school was constructed in 1967 and was first used in March, 1968. In 1996 an energy conservation project was completed in this building and in May, 1999, voters approved an $11,600,000 renovation project, in which a large portion of this project includes adding on to the middle/high school for more classroom space. This project is expected to be completed in 2004. The district also operates its own school bus garage which maintains a fleet of buses.

The support staff, which includes clerical, teacher aides, custodial, maintenance and bus drivers, has approximately 65 members and are a vital part of the organization. The district operates their own food service and transportation programs.

Several colleges and universities within easy driving range of Morrisville offer excellent opportunities for extending one's education by means of appropriate graduate courses available in evening programs, Saturdays, during the summer and off campuses courses at several nearby locations. These institutions include our own SUNY Morrisville, Colgate University, Syracuse University, LeMoyne College, Hamilton College, Utica College, and State University Colleges at Oswego, Oneonta, and Cortland.
