Margaretville Schools

Margaretville Central School District is located at 415 Main Street Margaretville, NY. This public school system provides education for grades K through 12 in the County of Delaware. Margaretville area has the kind of small town appeal that is easy to appreciate. The village itself possesses a classic Main Street dominated by turn-of-the-century buildings. The district has recently added some new facilities, new gym, library and new wings for High School & Elementary School. Every year Margaretville Central School is growing with more new students arriving to the area.

The Margaretville Central School District Board of Education is committed to providing the best possible educational experience for our students with the primary focus on academic preparation. The participation of students in extracurricular activities, such as Interscholastic Athletics is a very important component to the academic program, providing a well-rounded educational experience.

A successful and effective interscholastic athletic program requires commitment from the Board of Education, the Administration, the Teaching and Coaching Staff, the Students Participation and parental support and cooperation.

The local community consists largely of vintage houses with neat yards for the approximately 700 full-time residents. Many people have lived here their entire lives; others have moved to the community only recently. No matter, folks come to the Greater Margaretville area; it's easy for them to call this place "home."
