Lackawanna City Schools

Lackawanna City School District is located at 245 So Shore Boulevard Lackawanna, NY. This public school district provides education for grades PK through 12 for the community of Lackawanna. Lackawanna is a city in Erie County, New York and it is located just south of the city of Buffalo in the western part of New York State.

Lackawanna is a culturally diverse city located on the shore of Lake Erie and just minutes from Downtown Buffalo. The Lady of Victory Basilica, a national shrine, is in the center of the downtown business district. The Buffalo Botanical Gardens, a Frederick Olmstead Park, is just walking distance from the Basilica.

The Lackawanna City School District is an educational community that uses technology to provide opportunities for all students to develop their total intellectual potential. This is critical for students to be successful and productive in their future academic and career lives and responsible contributing members of their community. High quality learning technologies will be available and widely and equitably used in all district classrooms to support the engagement of students, teachers, administrators, parents and the community in helping all students to achieve
high standards.

Educational technology applications will deepen student engagement and improve student achievement by enabling them to access and analyze information, solve problems, collaborate with others, and communicate their thoughts and ideas. Effective use of learning technologies will allow students to become self-directed, self-motivated, and lifelong learners. Teachers increasingly will be facilitators of student learning through proficient use of learning technologies.
