The Johnson City Central School District is located at 666 Reynolds Road Johnson City, NY. The district is comprised of 4 schools that are nestled in the rolling hills of Broome County in the Southern Tier of New York. Johnson City District continues to develop with a combination of city and suburban neighborhoods. This district has above average teaching results that exceed similar schools. The education attitude adopted by this district is to provide a positive, nurturing, and enabling learning environment for all students and adults. Johnson City Central School District is rich in music programs and it ranks in the top 100 high schools for music programs in the United States. Additionally, it was selected as a “2008 Finalist for the GRAMMY Signature School award by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Foundation, Inc.” Students who like music will find all types of programs including musical productions, marching band, instrumental groups, and even vocal groups to try out for or join.
The Community really comes together and has formed a special service they call the Community Action Team or (CAT). This group comes together to form new programs that help meet the needs of the local community.
