Half Hollow Hills Schools
Half Hollow Hills Central School District has several Elementary Schools within its borders. The district meets the needs of young learners by providing the community with a full-day kindergarten program includes instruction in social readiness, reading, and mathematics readiness. Teachers recognize that children develop at different rates socially, emotionally, and academically. As students advance the curriculum is expanded to include reading, language arts composition, spelling, English essentials, science, and health, social studies which includes geography, history, citizenship, music, art and physical education. Through the integration of technology, students will master computer skills offered in various ways. Educators are trained in the mechanics of using the hardware and software through the exploration of tools that enhance and expand the curriculum by including learner-centered, interdisciplinary, constructionist activities.
The Half Hollow Hills Central School District has twice been recognized by the Computerworld Honors Program.
