Geneseo Central School District is located at 4050 Avon Road Geneseo, NY and provides excellent education opportunities for grades K through 12 for this community in Livingston County, New York. The mission statement of the Geneseo Central School District is to enable all members of our school community to become life-long learners and valued contributors within a global society.

Geneseo Central School District is seated in the county seat of Livingston County; the village is home to the campus of SUNY Geneseo, one of the nation’s top public liberal arts colleges, historic buildings, a picturesque and thriving Main Street and many finely preserved homes. The town is nestled in the idyllic Genesee Valley bordered by the nearby Finger Lakes to our east, Letchworth State Park, the “Grand Canyon of the East,” The towns the famed Genesee Country Village and Museum to our north. Lovely hills, fields and waterways support a thriving agriculture and afford us lively recreational opportunities from water sports to equestrian activities.

Geneseo's history is rich in tradition since its founding in 1832, playing a significant role in the history of Western New York. The majority of the village is designated a National Landmark Historical Preservation District. The beautiful pastoral countryside of agricultural lands in these townships creates scenic vistas. The State University College at Geneseo is an integral part of the community. The college has a nationwide reputation for excellence and is known for the variety of educational, cultural, and athletic opportunities.
