Gates-Chili Schools
Gates-Chili Central School District is located at 910 Wegman Road Rochester, NY. The Gates-Chili Central school system is situated in Monroe County, New York and provides education for grades K through 12 to the Community of Rochester. Along with rigorous curriculum and highly qualified staff, Gates Chili offers instructional technology to assist with educating the 21st century student. Computers in every every classroom, computer labs, mobile wireless computer labs, Palm Pilot technology, teacher web sites, and online learning opportunities are some of the technology resources available to students and staff.
Gates Chili serves nearly 5,000 students in five elementary schools for grades K-5, a middle school for grades 6-8, and a high school for grades 9-12. A capital improvement project (Phase IX) includes major renovations at the High School, new playing fields, and an additional access road on the District's main campus.
Gates Chili School District is located in a western suburb of Rochester, New York, a community situated between Lake Ontario and the Finger Lakes. The District covers a 26 square mile area serving most of the Town of Gates and a large portion of the Town of Chili. The school community is just minutes from downtown Rochester and offers attractions such as professional theaters, museums, and professional sporting events in baseball, hockey, soccer, basketball, and football. Rochester is also known for institutions such as the University or Rochester with its renowned medical school, Eastman School of Music, and international companies such as Eastman Kodak, Bausch and Lomb, and Xerox Corporation.
