East Aurora Schools
East Aurora Union Free School District is located at 430 Main Street East Aurora, NY. This public school district is nestled on the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake, in the heart of the Finger Lakes region of New York State. The East Aurora Union Free School District is currently educating Grades K through 12 for the Community of Aurora in Erie County. Historically Aurora has been known as an educational center since the 1790's when its first school was built. Wells College was founded in 1868 by Henry Wells, pioneer of Wells Fargo Stagecoach and American Express.
Wells is one of the oldest liberal arts colleges for woman in the nation and enjoys a long-established reputation for excellence in leadership and rigorous academic standards. East Aurora Union Free School District continues to provide a comprehensive education for each and every student.
Students receive varied and high-quality programs while keeping expenditures at a very reasonable level for our community. Students consistently rank within the region’s top schools in measures of academic achievement, and the community regularly demonstrates solid support for responsibly proposed budgets.
The District, therefore, is positioned well as we continue to implement programs intended to prepare students for the new learning standards and more difficult high school graduation requirements.
The Town of Aurora has a long history of support for its students. In the late 90's, East Aurora’s schools had undergone a comprehensive physical metamorphosis. This project, completed in 1998, reconfigured our High School into a beautiful, modern academic facility complete with new athletic facilities.
