Athletics teaches self-discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship and the competitiveness necessary to succeed later in life. The athletic program is based on sound educational and ethical principles. Through their physical education program, intramurals and athletics, we offer all students an opportunity to develop the skills they need to succeed.

They are committed to the individual growth of each of their athletic program participants by facilitating excellence in citizenship, academics, sportsmanship and athletic skills. Their mission statement is to provide students with the opportunity to positively represent their school and community in a wide range of quality interscholastic programs. The program objectives are to see that the highest standards of athletic competition are maintained throughout the program while ensuring that our primary responsibility is to the student participants in the program. The Cornwall Central School District strives to provide an opportunity for the complete development of the student-athlete: personally, academically, and athletically.
