Buffalo City Schools
Buffalo City School District is located at 712 City Hall Buffalo, NY. This public school system is located in Erie County, New York and Buffalo is the state's second-largest city. The Buffalo City School District is recognized for its outstanding performance when compared to other urban school systems in New York State. It brings excellent teaching practices and supreme opportunities to its diverse student population. The Buffalo Public Schools curriculum is aligned to state standards set by the Education Department. The Board of Education is the policy-making body for the Buffalo Public Schools. Members are elected by popular vote and are the representatives in the schools.
The City of Buffalo is the economic and cultural center of the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metropolitan area. It is located on the eastern end of Lake Erie, opposite Fort Erie, Ontario in Canada, and at the beginning of the Niagara River, which flows northward over Niagara Falls and into Lake Ontario. Buffalo possesses all of the appealing characteristics and qualities of the great urban centers that are enchanted with 19th century mansions lining Olmsted parks and parkways. Visitors are excited to find out the City of Buffalo is only twenty minutes from Niagara Falls.
