Bellmore-Merrick High Schools

Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District is a technologically rich school system with an environment of the future that provides increased opportunities for students to take a more active role in their learning. Officials know that technology will enable students to enhance their problem solving and higher order thinking skills. Students will be actively engaged in a variety of learning tasks that are authentic, challenging, and rewarding. Components of its School Board of Education are made up of North Bellmore, Merrick and North Merrick. This Board makes the educational decisions for what the learning community will be taught.

Student achievement will be assessed through tasks that measure student progress towards meeting or exceeding local, state, and national goals. The realization of this vision will require input from students, teachers, parents, administration, and the community. The staff believes technology is powerful learning tools that will help every student in the Bellmore Merrick Central High School District learn to their greatest potential.
