Alexandria Central School District is located at 34 Bolton Avenue Alexandria Bay, NY and provides quality education for grades K through 12 for the community of Alexandria Bay. Alexandria is a town in Jefferson County, located in the northern part of the county and is north of Watertown. The Alexandria Central School District consists of one instructional building and the Alexandria Central School District provides computer-related technology and appropriate training to implement curriculum and instruction that meets or exceeds New York State Standards.
The Technology Committee focuses on district-wide development and technology improvement of the education of our students. The District’s committee consists of administrators, teachers, and one network administrator. The team will meet once a month during non-school time. However, release time may be granted to the team to provide the team with the necessary time for training or planning. The purpose of the technology committee shall be to plan for the schools’ technology needs and to offer ideas of how to acquire equipment, train personnel, and evaluate technology programs both within and throughout the school setting.
The Alexandria Central School District is dedicated to preparing our students to be successful in our constantly changing society. It is therefore important that students understand and incorporate present and future technologies into their lives. It is the goal that each student has the opportunity to acquire transferable skills that will enable them to be lifelong learners.
