With its county seat in the famous Cooperstown, Otsego County is a diamond in the rough located in the Central New York region of the state. A long time tourist attraction, the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame is a favorite stop for families, as well as the many arts, historical and cultural events to be found among the county borders. Among the many lakes within the county lies the city of Oneonta, home to both SUNY Oneonta and Hartwick College.
